Mom's Eggnog

3 c. milk
1 c. cream (or 2 of milk and 2 of cream)
3 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
nutmeg

Cook milk, cream, eggs, sugar and salt over low heat.  Stir constantly.  When mix coats the spoon--cool.  Put in the blender until smooth.  Add vanilla and nutmeg.
